Security arrangements will remain tight during voting in the district

Elaborate arrangements are being made by the police administration to ensure peaceful assembly elections. In the newly formed district Kotputli-Behror, District Collector Shubham Chaudhary and SP Ranjita Sharma are continuously touring and giving necessary guidelines regarding the arrangements. In the same sequence, SP Sharma held a meeting of police officers and soldiers and directed them regarding the precautions to be taken while on duty. SP Sharma said that 3168 police and home guard personnel have been deployed at 971 polling booths of the assemblies falling in Kotputli-Behror. Apart from 17 companies, armed personnel have also been deployed. Web casting of critical booths will be done. SP Ranjita Sharma sent all the participants off after admonishing them for discharging their duties. In this sequence, from 17th October to 24th November, flag marches were conducted at the polling booths of all the assembly constituencies to instill confidence among the voters for fear-free voting. The district police has arrested a total of 7250 persons and booked 05 persons under the Goonda Act. At the same time, Tadipar proceedings are pending against 12 persons. One person has also been sent to judicial custody. Till now, under the Model Code of Conduct, cash worth Rs 16 crore 88 lakh 86 thousand, vehicles, illegal liquor and weapons along with intoxicating materials have been seized. Drought day has been declared from 23rd to 25th November. Haryana government has also declared drought day within three km of the interstate border. SP Ranjita Sharma, while appealing to the general public for cooperation with the police administration for peaceful voting, has appealed to the voters to maintain peaceful order, vote by following the code of conduct and not to allow any crowd or parking at the polling stations.
