Inauguration of National Sports Week

As per the directives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, the National Sports Week was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Government Girls College in the town. Principal Dr. R.P. Gurjar encouraged the athletes, highlighting that today, women are winning medals in the Olympics, Commonwealth, and Asian Games. With dedication, a career in sports can also be built. Nodal Officer Dr. Kamlesh Yadav reported that in the handkerchief-snatching race, the Lakshmi Bai team, consisting of Nachita, Komal, Rinki, and Reena Prajapat, emerged victorious. In the running competition, Monica secured the first position, Arti the second, and Komal the third. Similarly, in the relay race, Komal and Monica's team secured the first position, Ramabhot and Rajkiran's team the second, and Nachita and Pinky's team the third. A large number of students and staff members were present during the event.
Likewise, on the second day of the sports week held at the Government LBS PG College, Principal Dr. R.K. Singh emphasized the importance of sports in life. Program Officer Maliram Meena shared that in the kho-kho competition, the Jhansi Ki Rani group secured the first position, while the Mahadevi Verma group took the second. In the Satoliya competition, Rakhi Dahiya secured the first position, Komal the second, and Priyanka Bai the third. NSS Program Officer Sajjan Singh Yadav, along with other staff members, were also present during the event.
