Youth organize candle march to protest, pay tribute to the doctor

Recently, a horrifying incident occurred at a medical college in Kolkata, West Bengal, where a trainee female doctor was raped and murdered while attending to a patient in critical condition. In protest of this incident, hundreds of young people held a candle march on Thursday, led by former Youth Congress state secretary Tara Pootli. The march started from the Panchayat Samiti and ended at the Jyotiba Phule Memorial. Participants observed two minutes of silence to pay tribute to the victim and demanded that the culprits be sentenced to death as soon as possible. The youth also urged the government to conduct a swift investigation, arrest the culprits, and ensure the harshest punishment. Several local leaders and citizens took part in the march, including Ramjilal Saini, Sachin Saini, Ravi Sehra, Abhilash Meena, and others.
