The Chief Minister was talking to the delegation of the Indian Press Journalists Association at CMR. On this occasion, President of the Indian Press Journalists Association, Abhay Joshi, along with solving the housing problem of journalists, also called for a new housing scheme for deprived journalists, making a policy to regularly issue two full page advertisements every month to small, medium and small newspapers, senior Increasing the pension assistance amount of journalists to twenty-five thousand rupees, providing cashless medical facility to journalists up to five lakh rupees, issuing immediate financial assistance of up to fifty lakh rupees from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund without any formality if a journalist or his family member is suffering from a serious illness, Providing loans up to thirty lakh rupees without interest to journalists on easy terms, seventy percent discount in railways and providing free travel facilities to journalists across the country in Rajasthan Roadways buses, allowing journalists themselves or their families to consult a government doctor at their home. Other demands were placed including issuing a circular regarding not charging fees during the period. Joshi said that journalists are performing their journalistic work responsibly in adverse circumstances, if the government provides mental and financial relief through schemes, then journalists will be able to perform their journalistic work in a better way. He also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister regarding various problems of journalists. Joshi expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma for issuing a circular to the police stations to take immediate action on any incident happening to journalists regarding the safety and respect of journalists in Rajasthan. Chief Minister's Media Advisor Anand Sharma and senior journalist Omendra Dadhich were also present on this occasion. The Chief Minister said that the journalists' organization is the lifeline of the government and conveys the messages of the journalists to the government. In such a situation, the Indian Press Journalists Association is fulfilling its responsibility well by making the government aware of the problems of the journalists from time to time.
