Kotputli, 27 May 2023
It has been more than four years since the state government upgraded the state BDM hospital located in the town from sub-district hospital to district hospital. But even after becoming a district hospital, its condition has not improved till date. Although some facilities have been increased in the name of district hospital and some are still pending. But along with cleanliness in the hospital, the condition of the wards here and other arrangements show something else. The condition of filth is spread in the hospital premises, which is not hidden. But the condition of many wards of the hospital has become very bad. Dislodged floor tiles and broken tiles are also a common problem in the wards. At the same time, along with the paint on the walls, the plaster has also been uprooted. Although the patients coming to the OPD are prevented from coming to the inner wards by making corridors outside, but despite this there has been no success in improving the condition of the wards. One of the reasons for this is that patients admitted to the hospital are accompanied by their attendants. Whenever a patient is admitted to the hospital, there is a queue of people coming and meeting him, due to which the condition of the inner wards of the hospital becomes very bad. Apart from this, due to lack of proper arrangement of ventilation, along with the filth, heavy foul smell also keeps coming in the wards. Government BDM District Hospital is the biggest government hospital located on Jaipur-Delhi Highway, where OPD is attended by thousands of patients daily. Not only this, mostly the injured of road accidents on the highway are also brought here. But due to lack of necessary facilities in the hospital and willpower of the staff, most of the patients are sent to Jaipur. Due to this the hospital is now known as a referral hospital. In this situation, the state government needs to improve the facilities and premises along with expansion of this hospital. Because apart from Kotputli, patients also come from nearby Bansur, Behror, Shahjahanpura, Neemrana, Patan, Neemkathana, Paota, Biratnagar, Narayanpur, Shahpura, Mundawar and other places. Apart from this, this hospital has also seen a lot of pressure during the global pandemic Corona period. People say that along with cleanliness in the hospital, there is a need for better arrangements for parking and canteen.
