People's representatives along with their relatives sat on a dharna in front of the mortuary of the Government BDM District Hospital in the town in connection with the suicide of a youth resident of the town's Mohalla Buchaheda by hanging himself on Monday evening. After a continuous sit-in demonstration for 27 hours in the case, after both the parties reached an agreement, the dead body was handed over to the relatives after getting the post-mortem done on Tuesday evening. It is noteworthy that on Monday evening, ward no. Omprakash (38) son of Ramkaran Sharma, resident of 34 Mohalla Buchaheda, committed suicide by hanging himself. On this, the deceased's cousin Ramkunwar Sharma, a resident of Kalyanpura, Paota, lodged a report at the local police station and told that the deceased Omprakash used to work as a salesman at a mobile shop located at Paota. From where he left the job in December 2022. Despite this, the shop owner and his uncle were torturing the deceased Omprakash alleging that he was short of 206 mobiles. Due to which he was badly hurt. Regarding this, the deceased had messaged my cousin several times and requested him to settle the matter. On Monday too, about 15 messages were sent throughout the day. Being fed up with this, he committed suicide by hanging himself. The dead body of the deceased was taken into custody by the police who reached on the information of the hospital administration and kept it in the mortuary of the hospital for postmortem. But the family members had started a sit-in demonstration demanding the arrest of the accused in the case. The family members said that the post-mortem of the deceased would not be conducted until strict action was taken against the accused. On the other hand, in the early hours of Tuesday, former parliamentary secretary Ramswaroop Kasana, BJP leader Mukesh Goyal, Janata Dal leader Ramnivas Yadav, Ed. A large number of villagers and women including Bajrang Lal Sharma also sat on the dharna. Seeing the deteriorating atmosphere, ASP Vidha Prakash called the police of four police stations apart from Kotputli to the spot. After the first round of talks in the government hospital failed, the relatives of the deceased and the protestors came outside the Kotputli police station and sat on a dharna. During this, the people's representatives also scolded the police officers for demanding action. Later, the relatives agreed to get the post-mortem done in the ASP office after an agreement was made between the relatives and the administration and on assurance of proper action in the matter. After which the police got the post-mortem done and handed over the dead body to the relatives.
