Villagers are collecting mushrooms from the fields after the rain and selling them in the market. According to traders, about one ton of mushrooms is being consumed daily in Barmer city. This time, production has reduced due to weak monsoon, due to which prices have increased. Mushrooms are said to be rich in nutrients and contain protein, calcium, fiber, vitamins and minerals. It is claimed that dry mushroom powder is being sold for around Rs 2500 per kg. Villagers are getting good additional income from mushrooms during the rainy season.
